We tried to civilize ourselves with technology. But the banality of comfort and the sterility of enlightenment did not calm the primal chaos within, it only made it restless, till it commandeered our gadgets and digitally reprimitivized us with culture war tribalism and trolling.

I haven't, unfortunately. My queue of must-read books is already longer than any human lifespan could accommodate. I am familiar with many of Yuval's ideas, however.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what my best tweets are. The ones I put great effort into and regard as my cleverest typically get ignored, while the tweets I suspect might be truisms often get retweeted to the high heavens.

There are some very interesting insights in Ted Kaczynski's manifesto from decades ago. Now I am in no way condoning anything about him, particularly his actions, but some of his observations on technology are astonishingly prescient considering how long ago he wrote them.
