Yes. Unless they’re the very same people that crossed the Bering Strait landbridge tens of thousands of years ago, they most likely took land from another people. The natives of 1492 were not the natives of 1092 or the natives of 92 and so on. Cultures change constantly.

They likely did. The first settlers in Canada were probably wiped out by other tribes who committed horrible things. Probably because over time we've become more moral and most of us realize expansionism is shit.
