    The inverted commas Ross uses around "read & publish" are important to highlight too. This deal, & others like them, are in no way "transformational". Instead they are, essentially, about paying for 3rd party hybrid on a massive & unsatisfactory scale.

    et cetera, et cetera... if the UK rejects Elsevier's 7th (!) proposal offer a "read&publish" agreement this xmas, the UK would NOT be in a minority position

    Bulgaria, circa 50s or 60s!

    Received this vintage street sign as a 'secret Santa' gift. Noice! Santa said he picked it up from an antique shop and was informed it was an old Russian street sign -- but is it? Can't find any useful info. Think we might be outside Europe. Any street sign experts reading this?!

    A totally boss looking event, convened by Liverpool institutions. ;-) I'll be attending -- although a shame it can't be a physical event. I would love an excuse to visit, rendezvous with et al., and hit Liverpool's terrific boozers. Oh, how I miss thee!

    I know contributing to standards can feel like a huge deal, but it’s really not (or shouldn’t be!). HTML, or any web spec, is just an open source software project run by regular/friendly folks like you and me. Put aside any hero worship and help us fix broken things! 💕

    Whew.
    Today I submitted my first pull request against the HTML specification. The HTML. Specification. No idea how long and how much adjustment it will take to get to acceptance, so not linking it yet. But still! I just, I… need a few minutes.
