For , I wrote about the common experience of shrinking parts of ourselves for the sake of our partners' comfort. Whether it's our politics, values, dreams, or identities, we shouldn't have to make ourselves smaller to keep our relationships.

Education is a skill set. It is astounding how disrespected and unvalued teachers and other facilitators are – to the point that people are given teaching jobs without any training. Facilitating learning takes skill and practice and forethought. Let's start respecting that.

I'm consulting with a client who is creating educational material, and I'm offering advice in learning theory and how to apply that. And they said, "I just want to stop you and reflect back to you how important this is and how much I wish I was taught this in grad school."

The way I structure consulting is like therapy for your work (or academic) life. You get weekly coaching calls, supplemental material to move your work forward, and access to my social media audience. The goal is to get whatever you're working on off the ground – finally!
