And while we all look at what’s happening in Jerusalem, this is happening down the road in Al Khalil.

The thing is, if the govt's problem with the Protocol was primarily about ensuring frictionless movement of goods from GB to NI, they would be trying to address that problem. But they aren't.

Just take a moment to consider what is happening here. A prominent journalist was killed by Israeli police/border guards/army. And today the Israeli police are attacking her pall bearers and other mourners.

This thread is pretty clear evidence of the ISF systematically proceeding in a way calculated to inflame tension, not calm things down, and to provoke violence, not to defuse it. It’s the ethics of the playground bully, with the weapons of war.

I have taken a screenshot of this just in case I ever have the misfortune to be prosecuted or get a fixed penalty notice. If it works as a defence for the person who made the laws in the first place, it’s bound to be absolutely watertight for me! Cheers, Moggy.

Light a fire. Stoke the fire. Pour some petrol in it. And then use the massive blaze as an excuse to stop all fires. Rinse. Repeat. This is the reality of Israel’s policy and actions against Palestinians.

Fancy a knighthood or damehood? Either raise £3.6m for charity in your dying days, or - much simpler! - just bung a mill to the Tory party.

There's clearly no cost of living crisis at the House of Commons judging by your constantly rising salaries and expenses as well as subsidies including food and drinks

The UK has - a cost of living crisis that will drop millions into poverty - a mutating viral pandemic it has given up trying to manage - a Prime Minister embroiled in law-breaking and deceit And it chooses now to rip up the NI Protocol and thereby the GFA and the Brexit deal?

I say “will have missed it” because, for instance, the BBC site thinks the Baroness hasn’t said or done anything newsworthy since she opined on Bitcoin back in… 2017.

For those who will have missed it: Baroness Mone’s house was raided by police investigating dodgy PPE procurement. This seems to have worried the Goverment so much that they’d rather keep in the news (via “”) than let public attention turn to the police raid.

It would be naïve to assume that the people trying to whip the public into a frenzy over Starmer’s beer, hadn’t had leaked reports that the Met were about to issue another thick sheaf of penalty notices. Reminder: there is no equivalence, here. Not morally, not legally.

Incidentally, “now’s not the time; the Government has important work to do” is not an acceptable answer. The greater the Government’ task, the more vital that it is led by someone who is not an unrepentant serial liar.

The UK, EU and others continue to threaten the privacy of your correspondence and the security of your online life, in their bid to outlaw encryption. Reminder: claims about encryption preventing law enforcement are not always reliable.
