ENS is for everyone I personally find brantly's views to be the antithesis of the values we stand for in web3

2/ what makes web3 special is the inclusion* of so many people who have previously been excluded or unable to participate in building the tools that shape our society + values *inclusion is more than not excluding, it's a baseline level of respect for everyone's lived experience

3/ the community has an opportunity to demonstrate that ENS is more than the opinions of one person—that the values of web3 are reflected in those that hold power and influence in the space

done, came up with the unicode striekthrough idea as I was changing my vote. i have been only scizors for 15 years and use a blank unicode character to open accounts without a last name, so it was my first idea that was maybe useful

Loved and agreed with every word of this. But want to take pedantic issue with your use of the world "values" of web3. Values evolve/devolve/relative. And so would prefer for web3 not to have explicit values. But rather mchnsms for deriving consensus on such values when needed.

Think this a subtle but absolutely critical distinction. Otherwise the coagulating mass of group 'values', reinforced by the individual instinct towards conformity and personal security, become the biggest source of entrenched exclusion themselves.
