You built your entire “jobs” around the exploitation of real estate markets. Airbnb long ago stopped pushing the “share a home with someone” concept and flat out tried to position itself as the new hotels. You all aspired to be mini-landlords without effort.

Like I genuinely hope that Airbnb doesn’t recover from this. They destroyed the Bay Area and every other community they touched down in. I don’t feel bad for the owners, either. Every one of them saw that they were an invasive species and simply shrugged it off.

It’s funny because that’s just a part of “investment”, these people wanted to be entrepreneurs and didn’t realize they too have to assume the consequences of risk taking.
