@JWerthsBeard sure you can. There is a period (I think three days) when a player is DFA ("cut") but not actually released & can be traded. -
@NatsLady can't you become a free agent if you have a certain amount of service time though? -

@cpatt20@funnyordie@Angels Actually he can. When players get designated for assignment, the club still has a door open to trade. -
@RonShaull negative. When he's DFA'd he's still on the roster. Within those 10 days he can be cut, traded or accept minors league assigment -
@cpatt20 Well thats what happened. Just because@funnyordie didn't use the term DFA, it's pretty much insinuated.
