Ernie Grunfeld gave Andray Blatche an extension 2 years before they had to. Blatche refused to check into a game, was arrested in a police prostitution operation, was never in shape & typified the buffoonish behavior of the poor roster that won 117 games over 5 years. #FireErnie

Ernie Grunfeld set out to bring Kevin Durant home to Washington, DC. He fell short of that lofty goal. He ended up with Ian Mahinmi, Trey Burke, Andrew Nicholson & Jason Smith. Only Mahinmi is left on the roster & barely plays. Grunfeld should be fired immediately. #FireErnie

As of this morning, Ernie Grunfeld’s record as Wizards GM is 551-702. Coming into this year, over the span of his tenure, they had the 23rd ranked winning % in the NBA. He makes ‘win now’ moves. They don’t ‘win now’ near enough to justify them. He should be fired. #FireErnie

The Wizards won last night. There is legitimate debate that they are 'better' without Wall, who's max extension begins next year. Doesn't matter if you believe it, the fact that it's a conversation shows how poorly this team fits together. They are stuck. #FireErnie

Ernie Grunfeld signed Martell Webster to a 4 year 22$ million deal in 2013. He would start 13 more games before succumbing to injuries. EG was bailed out when Webster couldn't play anymore. A common theme: Deal out of desperation. Ernie Grunfeld should be fired #FireErnie

Grunfeld has made some good moves as GM. Getting rid of Kwame Brown, extending Caron Butler, drafting Beal etc. These do just enough to keep the Wizards in the NBA’s middle class & have bought him time to make his short-sighted & crippling moves. He should be fired #FireErnie

I love hoops & I love the Wizards. I watched grainy games on HTS with Mel Proctor, had nightly appointments w/the wonderful Steve Buckhantz & Phil Chenier. The continued insistence that Ernie Grunfeld is the best man to run my favorite team has taken that joy from me. #FireErnie

The Raptors, who beat the Wiz yesterday, have 3 straight 50 Win Seasons & a Conf Final. They fired a coach who has been more successful than any Wiz coach & traded their best player b/c they are desperate to win. Wiz have continually doubled down on the same OK core #FireErnie

I will not watch the Wizards until Ernie Grunfeld is removed from his job. Judged by any reasonable metric: record, team culture, refusal to stockpile assets, turn Washington into a desirable FA destination etc, he should have been fired years ago. #FireErnie

Wizards are only a few games out of the 6-8 seeds. That's 1 way to look at it. The other way is that there are 24 teams w/a better record. They do not have a championship ceiling & can't improve to that level w/their lack of flexibility. The architect should be fired #FireErnie

Ted Leonsis tried a quick path w/the Capitals to win. He then adapted to the best practices of the league & built a perennial championship contender around a multiple time MVP. He has not adapted to the NBA's best practices & it starts w/his GM who should be fired #FireErnie
