Random fun fact: the cases pictured that all the switches are in are ones that used to hold rack mount PC's used for various Overwatch events last year. They made for a much better way to not only ship, but also coordinate which switches go in what Hall.

While I feel sorry for whoever has to set all that up and take it down again, I feel even more sorry for whichever poor person has to cable manage it!
-
It's all Blizzard IT employees doing both! Up to 50 some odd volunteers that unbox everything on campus, configure switches, deploy them all over the convention, and neatly tape down all the cable runs on the show floor. And now we're finally getting around to packing it up.

@fumanstan@Cisco@LifeatBlizzard i presume all computers are networked and not on public internet. So how much data traffic for games happened in the last blizzcon? -
Good question! We do capture a lot of data and metrics from our monitoring, but I'm not sure how much is clearly game specific since we hit a lot of different environments, some local to the show. Plus, also responsible for a lot of general internet usage. Maybe I can find out :)
