Why did we get to release that game? Because we were all lucky enough not to have a major health issue during its (short) dev time.
While making Gone Home (released pre-ACA) we got to choose between health care & funding our game. This was not a good choice to have.

Would we do it again, or recommend others take that risk? No. Lack of social safety net has a chilling effect on new small businesses.
