Main question is, if just someone’s Aadhar number is in wrong hands...what information can be fetched about him.

Everything that's connected to aadhar. Phone no. Bank a. C. Address
-
Thats absolutely wrong. Aadhar is not a supermap of connected info to do a reverse lookup. It is just like an openid style of authentication system not a centralised database. Aadhar no. is of zero value to anyone without your biometrics. This 'security researcher' is misleading
-
Idiots in this thread don't understand how aadhar works. It's a data breach only if biometric database is hacked, decoded and used to authenticate as some person while they are not physically present. Aadhar number alone of someone is useless. That's the entire point of aadhar.
-
Exactly! & decoding of biometrics is nt so easy job as described.Wat is happenin is that most of them try to get AADHAR no & tell world that they have hacked AADHAR database.Logic whic I don't understand is they are fine with Google knowing your passwords & other important stuffs

#aadhaarandu, all that has already happened, stop trolling for aadhaar scamhttps://www.ndtv.com/surat-news/2-held-for-using-fake-software-biometric-data-to-divert-subsidised-foodgrains-1808220 … -
#Aadhaar enabled fraud happening everyday but paid trolls will keep playing Aadhaar is secure record everyday. *Aadhaar is designed for fraud*#DestroyTheAadhaarhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/indiahome/indianews/article-4874150/Hackers-cloning-fingerprints-Aadhaar-cards-UP.html … -
as per this report, few issuing agents fingerprints were cloned and used to issue fake aadhar cards. the trail is there, easily detected, addl verification (iris auth) added. this is no way an aadhar biometrics db breach. are you the type who just reads headlines?

-
I never came to know about it, when does it happened?
-
Hi Navpreet, in the early stage of Aadhar implementation, there were some cases which came forward on news to show how it was not being implemented properly, that Aadhar card of a cow was generated. Now recently under a new project Aadhar like IDs are being produced for cows.

This looks like a photocopy of the original. What's your point? When a person gives out the photocopy of his Aadhar card voluntarily, how is that 'hacking'?
-
It's not photocopy. He got it from site. No any one has not given photocopy? Who said that.
