I had to create a script to block this shit. I hope ublock origin just adds this to their list as well
uBlock Origin has filters for that. Check Settings, 3rd party filters, Resource abuse. Should be enabled by default now.
Or, you could simply add the sites to your hosts file with an unreachable ip.
There's now too many of them to manage, see the uBO listhttps://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/blob/master/filters/resource-abuse.txt …
Oh there's far more than that. Check the #CoinBlockLists

Wondering whether there should be a default check from the browser nowadays, or may be an add-on? @firefox @DuckDuckGo @googlechrome
Most antivirus vendors have checks in place these days. You could opt for browser plugins too. It's a google search away :-)
I don't think antivirus will check if the miner in embedded in a webpage. I have http://www.pnbiit.ac.in/ open on my broswer, and neither #McAfee nor #WinodwsDefender detected it. Although I can't see my cpu resources going very high.
That is terrible and hilarious at the same time.
