Hi #Aadhaar 👋! Can we talk about the #BenefitsOfAadhaar for the #India population? I quickly check your #android app on the #playstore and you have some security issues...It's super easy to get the password of the local database for example...🤦‍♂️http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=in.gov.uidai.mAadhaarPlus …

mAadhaar uses a local db to store the user preferences on the user's device. This data is application preferences as created by user on his/her phone. The app does not capture, store or take any biometric inputs. So question of biometrics being compromised does not arise.

Hi @UIDAI, As said in this tweet, you stored the hash of the user password in the database. As the db password is identical for everybody it's easy for an attacker to get it an so compromised his account. Can you consider this and fix that? Storing data in a local database is a common practise in the #Android world. In the #Aadhaar #android app they store: - user password data (hash) - notification - Ki value - EKYC Profile Data - Biometric Prefs - Bio Lock Timeout - App Configuration pic.twitter.com/cCfaAKFVkB

Pandeyji, please every time you hear the word *biometrics* don't send this social media handle to tweet out template responses. For god's sake, at least get a tech. guy to answer. Oi, Bot, please *shutdown*. You can't understand what Elliot is saying.

Troy Hunt's post leads me to think that UIDAI tech is developed and managed by students and interns. This response from the twitter reinforces the view.

One has to wonder where would we as a nation be, from a scientific and technological perspective. if only we had given the meritorious folks the baton to carry us forward. Prolly we'd be a developed nation by now as opposed to still being a developing nation 🙄
