Remember the BootCompletedReceiver in OnePlusLogKit app? It listen to a custom action called com.oem.oemlogkit.getLogpic.twitter.com/IAD3Pn6oQm
In the onReceive method, the logging actions are execute only if persist.sys.assert.panic is equal to true BUT if the action is equal to com.oem.oemlogkit.getLog all the logging actions are trigger if persist.sys.assert.panic is equals to falsepic.twitter.com/XAgcAfEi7h
And guess what the default value of persist.sys.assert.panic is falsepic.twitter.com/SRYF2U1Giw
It's mean that anybody can trigger remotely the NFC, location and "system" logging on your device with only 2 lines of codepic.twitter.com/gzpsWu9dy3
And if the app have the READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission, he can silently zip these files and send it anywhere he want
If you want to try you have different way: 1. Dial *#8000# 2. Send adb shell am start broadcast -a com.oem.oemlogkit.getLog 3. Create an app with the 2 lines above
In addition, there is something suspicious here. A lot of users report me that they have the /sdcad/oem_log/ folder but empty. They never triggered the logging. If the folder is here, the logs were too. So where these logs are now?
My suspicions were founded
