In my phone, this TTF file is stored in the sdcard. To be precise here: /sdcard/WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Documents/Action_Man.enc 3/npic.twitter.com/FEjvncwH4Z
#WhatsApp changed the extension of our TTF file to enc, so I guess the file is encrypted, right? 4/n
Wait a minute, the file command returns "TrueType font data", I thought it was encrypted... 6/npic.twitter.com/BMkbwkUD7M
Let's change the extension of the file from enc to ttf 7/npic.twitter.com/h6pENuruLB
Conclusion: WhatsApp attachment encryption = change the extension to enc 9/9
File stored in local not encrypted, does not mean its not encrypted when sent.
Yes and I never said the opposite :D. I only talking when the file is received and stored
Buddy encryption is end to end it's when file is transferred...why would local storage have encryption...
But why'd it have the .enc extension if it's the original file?
my frank guess: stupid programming. Doing the right thing but in a poorly-specified way. Could be wrong tho, haven't dug into it.
Man you stole my comment
. I was just going to use it.
Coincidently both are AMIT
haha, yeah so its all cool.
But they might be encrypting the data when sharing with someone? Can you check that. Also how do you get shell access to your android phone?
Do you need to root your phone to get access. Why don't you share how you do this things?
ADB is part of Android SDK. It comes bundled.
