Ask to yourself: What is the interest for Indian phone manufacturers to add the @UIDAI number by default?

Do you find it difficult to trust anybody? See a psychologist. You are just trying to create hysteria against UIDAI...

Just advertisement. Its not Indian phone manufacturer perhaps.. the telecom providers company putting by default numbers.

No, it had been proved that you can have the number by default even without inserting a SIM card

For me, Motorola (manufacturer) put the number by default and JIO (provider) also fed the number with the SIM they provide. Both give this number anyways.

Ever since this UIDAI number debacle came out in everyone's eyes, few things become way clearer. 1. UIDAI should have informed public about it's inclusion in phones. 2. It takes a foreigner to point out why no one in India is questioning it. (1/2)

        3. Whether it's a matter of concern or not, UIDAI cannot run away just by saying it hasn't asked anyone to include the number. They did it because someone asked them to. (2/2)

Thank goodness we have a 'foreigner' who cares enough about India. Indians themselves face criminal suits (@rachnakhaira etc) from this benign, well-meaning, responsible and accountable entity.

The inherent assumption that everyone has an Aadhaar number and it is a problematic system which will make you face horrific difficulties. So better take the call centre number. Just in case, you know? :P
