People noticed that the @UIDAI number is saved by default on their phone: @UIDAI: This is not me! Telecom providers: No, this is not us! ... Do I have to ask to Harry Potter if he magically added this number to people phones?

The point is: there is technical reason behind that. If this number is here it’s on purpose.

The so called "technical reason" might be very easy to explain. Aadhar number is linked to email address. Whenever we set up an Android phone, it asks to sync our contacts of Gmail with phone. That's where this now defunct number creeps into your phone. Stop blaming @UIDAI .

Obviously I could be very wrong , but blaming UIDAI for everything doesn't really help. If you want to blame someone, blame Google,Facebook for breaching your privacy which is far more worse than just adding a contact on your phone.

You are yes and you mix the subjects. Some people have it without having an Aadhaar number.
