The so called "technical reason" might be very easy to explain. Aadhar number is linked to email address. Whenever we set up an Android phone, it asks to sync our contacts of Gmail with phone. That's where this now defunct number creeps into your phone. Stop blaming

Obviously I could be very wrong , but blaming UIDAI for everything doesn't really help. If you want to blame someone, blame Google,Facebook for breaching your privacy which is far more worse than just adding a contact on your phone.
