Do you have @UIDAI in your contact list by default?

Yes, and it magically shows up everytime I reset my phone. Definitely a Google thing, because it happens with different ROMs.

I did not think of that. Good point! Still irritating.

Not Google, not SIM card, not mAadhaar (never installed it in my 2 month old phone, but still contact is present). Its in phone storage, as checked from contacts manager app.

Me and my friend both have @airtelindia + @VodafoneIN. But in my contact list UIDAI number is there but in my friends it is not there.

It's thru google. Showing up in phones which never had any SIM in them (no calling), only operating through wifi

Hoho.. hahaha... You are replying to the replies 😁 But anyways, on a serious note.. @UIDAI has very leaky system in place. The agents who collect biometric and other data are openly fooling people. The data does not get updated even after 3 months of visit to enrollment centre

Additionally when i dropped a complaint via DM to @UIDAI, provided them URN as well.. they are not able to find it in their system. Why? They don't have an answer. It is just a matter of updating my father's mobile number in his AADHAR. It should definitely not take 3+ months

But I have not changed my SIM from past 3 years. So they can add any contact to my phone remotely? By the way, my SIM is BSNL.
