No need to worry, it’s just a contact. It’s also very...surprising and interesting

When you download the aadhar app it's automatically save in your contact list. What is the prblm if number in saved our contact list?
-
Some people have this contact without having installed mAadhaar
-
They have linked their mobile with aadhar bro.
-
Lol it’s not related at all
-
@sachideal I don't have aadhaar, never even been near an enrollment centre. And have resisted every attempt to force me to get one. I still have the uidai number on my phone. -
I didn't understand if it's saved by default. What is the issue? There is any risk??
-
why have it there in the first place? who put it there? when and why? how? what more levels of control do they have on your phone?
-
all the new phones purchased have emergency numbers saved by default and now UIDAI number also is added to the list..

Never noticed it. So they r already tracking our activities ?
-
I don't think just by being in the address book, UIDAI can track anyone!
-
Yep right
-
they might track thru other apps which are linked with aadhaar... like IRCTC, bank apps, mobile / isp app, namoapp, etc (which are asking for almost full access),
-
remember, mobile phone is the best spying/tracking device any org. can use ;)
-
almost every app needs access to mobile phone dialer, contacts, images, camera, location, etc. immaterial of its purpose. no app will work without this.
-
It's just begining. Soon Aadhaar chip in the phone will be used for surveillance + control. All planned...https://twitter.com/Scimitar_SS/status/1002697023865348096?s=19 …

Yes, and it magically shows up everytime I reset my phone. Definitely a Google thing, because it happens with different ROMs.
-
It can be related to your SIM card
-
I did not think of that. Good point! Still irritating.
