What about his response? He has valid points no hacking in Database yellt. Its public/other database information.https://indianexpress.com/article/opinion/columns/rs-sharma-aadhaar-number-challenge-trai-chairman-twitter-5283781/ …

the simple point that is yet to be understood by him : When you index every service, government or private, by Aadhar as key, you make every thing vulnerable, a single point of failure , a single key to start every attempt. Sooner it will start becoming mandatory for everything.
-
With the population like ours we need some kind of database and common point. Look at the number of saves of govt money as bogus data is eleminated. The service (I opened my NPS account online).
-
some kind??? what on earth does that mean? A flawed and unverified one, which endangers us by needlessly linking bank accounts, phones etc? And where the data is outrageously crappy and finger prints of a large section of people cant be read? MOST COUNTRIES DO NOT HAVE SUCH CRAP
-
also most countries have effective grievance redress, control over enrollers. If 50,000 + agencies who enrolled have been sacked and they include institutions like ILFS and
#UIDAI is silent about reasons, you ought to be scared!! not smug and satisfied!! -
Agree that better controls are needed, why not make the discussion about making Aadhar better rather than call for banning it completely?
-
It is beyond that point, entire process for collecting and distributing data was flawed lacked control. Data is available with collecting agents, with many private companies, state hubs etc. UIDAI hides behind just one thing, nothing stolen from their server.
