I’m working on a side project for a few weeks. I’ll release an #Android #app called « Speeches ». With this app you will be able to read all the latest political speeches of your country.
The goal is also to use #AI to analyse the speeches, give the overall tone, etc

This is an interesting project! For India, speeches could be obtained from National Archives of India (http://nationalarchives.nic.in/ ) and Press Information Bureau (http://www.pib.nic.in/ ) It will be hard/expensive to dig old public records given the sorry state of these sites

But these would be the official ones - the real controversial/scandalous/bigoted and racially stirred speeches usually occur impromptu in election rallies. Those drive the pulse of the nation. There is no way to get them except Speech-to-text and then AI on videos

And speech recognition would be difficult on regional languages (there are so many of them - speeches as well as languages). If we solve this, an idea is to track sentiment/ 'leaning' of a political figure and classify them and generate reports for public view before elections
