HS2 construction will, according to HS2 Ltd's own figures, increase emissions. Land, power & water requirements are huge, putting yet more strain on the environment. Valuable habitat such as ancient woodland will be lost. Building

Not much thought has gone into these figures. If it had you'd realize HS2 is an expansion project. Real fact is HS2 = more roads , bigger airports, more farmland built on , more housing , a lot more flights , more taxation , a lot more environment damage and more taxation !!
