Sesame Street was made for public television, to help poor children of working parents counter advertising. Promoting a company that spent billions of dollars to pass Prop 22, which made sure working parents can’t spend times with their kids, is so so deeply depressing.

anti-homeless architecture is evil enough as it is, but if you remove all seats and put spikes everywhere you're also giving a big middle finger to every disabled person who can't walk far I'm a narcoleptic. I may need to take a rest occasionally. Stop putting spikes on stuff.

Just remembered that instead of replying to a tweet I think is wrong I can just say “well that’s just not true” out loud to myself and move on with my life

Still can't stop thinking about how the Trump administration executed 13 people in the final months of his term. More federal executions than the previous 67 years combined. It was a level of depravity that I'm still struggling to wrap my head around.

Rich ppl with more money: Hoard half in a climate controlled cave. Sample the meat of a child. Rack for wine made of pregnant people’s tears. Invest in a gun that shoots bees point blank in the face. Poor ppl with more money: Get a washer & dryer. pizza party for my friends! :-)

The biggest reason to avoid means-testing for COVID relief (among other things) isn't that it's more efficient, which it is, or that it avoids the likelihood of denying aid to some who need it, which is also very likely. It's because we don't want to be warped little monsters.

All people had to do was wash their asses, wear a mask, and socially distance. All the government had to do was prop up the economy until transmissions went down. We don’t need a “global alert system” for people who aren’t going to do any of the prescribed things.

Can someone please tell the folks at Bezos's newspaper that needing to pay off student loans, high-interest credit card debt or a mortgage constitutes "needing money"?

Honestly I had hoped that once that piece of shit was gone I would at least temper some of the blinding rage I feel every second of every day with a soupçon of hope, but no, people keep being trash and I am still so very, very angry about it

AOC isn't going to read your comments minimizing her trauma and saying she's looking for attention. But all of the people in your life who have experienced trauma and want to know who around them is "safe" and reliable sure will!
