So my being a priest hinder me for freedom of speech and just be neutral and just keep a blind eye to injustices, corruption and killings?
Is this what Jesus taught us? Remember Jesus? He calls out an unjust society!

I had a seminar with the Jesuits, which revolved around being involved and speaking out against injustices esp. the poor. I asked ‘where do we draw the line between being radical and being involved’. The moderator priest told us simply “what would Jesus do?” if he was here.

If morality is an integral part of Politics, then Religious Sector have all the right to say something! Tao din po ang mga Pari o Madre and they are citizens of this country, they have the right to freedom of speech.
