Patreon admitted yesterday they aim for a "one size fits most" solution, while the community is heavily segmented and diverse. Our pela is to empower creators, give us the tools & options, and let us be in charge how we run our campaigns. Not force more changes down our throat >>

- take our feedback on board
Which is great! But seeing is believing. Anniversary billing is still on the table.

FAQ #2: why didn't I hear about said meeting? It was announced in the Creator Discord (pinned, but not @ everyone). Only after 26 people showed up, I realized Patreon didn't do anything to get the word out.
FAQ #3: wait, Patreon didn't listen to our feedback? They "hear" us, it "resonates" and they are "listening". However, anniversary billing is still on the table. There is a lot of discussion around 1) improving communication and 2) billing done by Patreon internally.
They promised to involve creators early and often, to take our feedback on board. There's little reassurance they'll listen. I think what everyone can agree on is that flexibility & options are good. One size fits all is not good. We should band together to make this point.

Patreon is now talking directly to OUR PATRONS that Anniversary billing will be implemented in 2021. While they are STILL telling creators "it's just one of many solutions we're exploring".

Patreon gave us some reassurance during this Community discussion about Billing today: Anniversary billing will not be rolled out without a solution for 1) delivering rewards per calendar-month, and 2) a way to aggregate multiple pledges into a single bill.
