Today, we received a referral letter providing our office the authority to move forward with an independent investigation into allegations of sexual harassment claims made against Governor Cuomo. At the close of the review, the findings will be disclosed in a public report.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccine is a major breakthrough that can save countless lives. It stops death and hospitalizations. This framing is not helpful.

Every civil rights org should make a clear call for Dems to overrule the parliamentarian, unify & vote for COVID relief w/ $15 minimum wage. This is about racial equity & could lift over 40% of Af-Am workers out of poverty. No corporate donor or political friend should deter us.

In the next sentence the staffer told the Post, “I object to this invasion of my privacy with the use of personal texts. . . These statements are taken out of context and completely misconstrue my relationship with Neera. We had a very close working relationship.”

A key point that makes here is that Republicans are not even TRYING to make a good argument for their opposition to Biden's wildly popular rescue plan. That's because they think they don't need to. THEIR plan is to recapture power radically.

There needs to be a real discussion about how the press should cover the former president. You can’t grade him on the type of curve you’d typically grade former presidents because he’s still active in politics. And you can’t cover him like a normal politician because he’s not.

Question: did anyone cover the speeches of fellow one-termers Carter or George HW Bush one month after they lost the presidency?

Allegations of sexual harassment should always be taken seriously. There must be a truly independent investigation to thoroughly review these troubling allegations against the governor, and I stand ready to oversee that investigation and make any appointments necessary.

Lindsey Boylan and Charlotte Bennett’s detailed accounts of sexual harassment by Gov. Cuomo are extremely serious and painful to read. There must be an independent investigation - not one led by an individual selected by the Governor, but by the office of the Attorney General.

This week Senator Ted Cruz screamed "freedom" on a stage literally shaped like a Nazi symbol at a conference where attendees are worshipping a giant golden statue of Trump, and this is all just pretty normal now. Still trying to wrap my head around it, I guess.

What’s striking about this statement is that the Gov. Andrew Cuomo appears to be outing his former aide as a survivor of sexual assault.

We did it with AG Schneiderman. We can do it with Andrew Cuomo. I don’t care what letter comes after your last name. If you use your power to abuse or harass anyone, you should not be in power.
