Especially these days it's become incredibly hard to keep track of new horror movie releases so I started a little side project to help myself - and hopefully others - stay up to date. Simple account titled , where I post every day's new horror releases. Join me!

"Dark West is a vampire revenge thriller set on the highways of Texas that follows two car thieves who accidentally T-bone a pair of vampires in the middle of the night." The Hitcher meets Near Dark (both written by Eric Red, funny enough!). I'm paying attention.

Madhouse (1974) is streaming on Amazon Prime and it's delightful. Vincent Price & Peter Cushing play twisted versions of themselves in a meta-horror movie about a killer replicating the murders from their movies. Very "inside baseball" and very much a treat meant for horror fans.

There have been other books on Tobe Hooper (including one in Italian about twenty years ago) but this is the first book on his entire body of work in any language. I’ve been on a six year journey to get this published. This is...a big day for me.

Most streaming services don't seem to care much for classic movies so it's great to see Shudder adding a bunch more next month. On April 2, Cat People, I Walked With A Zombie, The Leopard Man, The Seventh Victim, Curse of the Cat People, The Body Snatcher & Isle of the Dead.

I'm not sure a movie has ever captured the essence of the cat quite like Cthulhu Mansion, wherein a cat watches a human being get devoured by a refrigerator monster and he's just completely unimpressed with the whole ordeal.

Revisited KING KONG ‘33 and mannnn... giant monster movies have since strayed from the light in terms of clarity during the action sequences. Rear projection + crafty compositing made for longer views of creature battles. You can see what tf is going on, what a concept!

Remember the rumor that Space Jam: A New Legacy was going to feature a bunch of WB movie characters? Well that sure looks like Joker '89 in the background of this shot?!

Watched 92's Cthulhu Mansion (Vinegar Syndrome!) last night and it's yet another movie that probably should have Cthulhu in it but he's absolutely nowhere to be found. Which begs the question. When the hell are we going to get a full-on Cthulhu horror movie?! (Underwater rules.)

Paramount+ launched today, taking the place of CBS All Access. It'll eventually be the exclusive home for new movies including the next Paranormal Activity and a Pet Sematary prequel, but for now you won't find much horror on there at all. Here's the list.

Vintage reviews of classic horror movies from critics who hate horror movies and are disgusted with people who enjoy them are always the best. They never realized that it was reviews precisely like this one that probably sold more tickets than the glowingly positive reviews!

Wait you're telling me that the trailers lied and Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley in fact don't turn into Spider-Man and Rey halfway through Chaos Walking and have an epic web vs. lightsaber battle to the death? It must at least be in the post-credits scene, no?! I want a refund!

Appreciation tweet for the makeup work in 1932's Island of Lost Souls, which still holds up. Credited to Wally Westmore and Charles Gemora. Incredible what they were able to pull off back then, and with such a wide array of character designs throughout the movie. 89 years ago!
