Just walked up to Judge Kavanaugh as morning session ended. Put out my hand to introduce myself as Jaime Guttenberg's dad. He pulled his hand back, turned his back to me and walked away. I guess he did not want to deal with the reality of gun violence.

Why sit there and even entertain the thought of standing there, meeting the father and have him instantly blame you for the actions of one person? Mental health is the issue here, not guns. Please put up or shut up. Focus on the REAL issues. Society is destroying young minds...

We have multiple levels of intervention in every facet of the child’s life before the event occurs. Why is it action is not taken? Neglected by kids their age and by the adults supposedly “caring for them”. I agree with mental health checks for guns. THATS A NO BRAINER. But help!

I agree with the right to bear arms, but there should be a responsibility that accompanies that right. I am the mother of a Marine, and they have strict rules relating to weapons and their purpose, but come on...do we really need an assault weapon to go "duck hunting"???

After sitting in a room full of hostile, shouting people 4 hours, I don’t think it’s crazy to think he might be cautious about someone coming up to him unexpectedly. It wasn’t like they were at a happy hour. This was an intense environment. He is being unfairly judged as usual.
