Time for a surcharge on every gun sold and every bullet sold in this country. We need the money to protect us from the unfettered access to guns. We will need guards on every street and in every building and a victims compensation fund as well. If you need a reason, here it is.

I don't get why Dem leaders are so tepid in discussing investigations. Pursuing progressive policies are expected, but will never be enacted. They'll provide contrast in 2020. What can absolutely be done w/ strength & success is oversight - & every voter asked for that. Own it.

On tonight, Sen. spoke of the declining power of the and a major shift in the politics of guns. He's right. Here is a column I wrote last month detailing how advocates of sane gun policy are gaining ground.

The new majority won’t limit its response to mass shootings to thoughts and prayers. We'll listen to gun violence survivors, not gun company lobbyists. will release the grip of wealthy special interests on Congress & make Congress work for the people.

  7. What is it with the Florida Sheriff's who served on the MSD Commission and fight for arming teachers going o NRATV to push this? via

  8. Ok, this makes me uncomfortable. The chairman of the MSD Commission went on NRA TV to push this plan, including arming teachers. The optics of this are bad and the idea that he pushed for this, without any testimony on this or anything to do with guns is very concerning.

Attention Senator McConnell: It is time to re-open the government. The House just passed funding bills the Senate already supported. Hundreds of thousands of workers are going without pay. It is time to put country over loyalty to Trump. It is time to show leadership.

This is SO confusing. The wall's already built? Or do you still need $5B for the wall? Is Mexico still paying for it? Oh, so they'll pay LATER, you say? But you're building it anyway, even if you don't get $5B? So wait...why is the government shut down? dammit!

You literally couldn't tell us how many human beings have died on your watch less than a month ago and you lied about a policy of ripping kids from parents. So yes, we're a little hesitant to take you at your word.

Celebrating Senator ’s re-election with Senator & other supporters. The NRA must not be happy that he won by 20 points. He consistently & unapologetically counters the NRA rhetoric. So happy that he will continue to represent Newtown.
