is going offline. Fun twist on the BR genre. Why didn’t I play more? Too many things that are a grind. Too many great free games — and pay-for 💰 games. It adds a ton of pressure to choose. Give me more AAA games that are 8-10 hours. Money is no object.

My biggest issue was exactly that. It’s hard to justify the time it takes to move past the gate kept hours to unlock all the cool/fun stuff. Then again. It’s kind of a Square Enix recipe.

So far, game has a number of glaring issues and many questionable choices... but the excessive-magic combat and parkour across a massive map have redeeming qualities. If you sort by people who played more than 4 hours -- 75% recommend it (binary yes/no system).

16.1 hours played review: "Story is on the short side, but combat is fun. Would not say it's worth the full price though. But if you want to play a fast paced magic casting RPG, it's a good game."

reviews because you can see the hours-played. I still have a ways to go with #Forspoken... Regardless of my final thoughts, it's always a shame to see the Hate Trains hit. Those who actually play the game 10-30 hours, I suspect will land in the 40% to 70% territory.

In short, if you get 30 or 100 live concurrents -- how are those streamers going to get a shot at 200 or 1000? How does its audience signal the quality to help it continue to rise? If there are challenges, I would like to see

Right now Twitch's top story streams are 65% music. These are, presumably, manually slotted by someone at Twitch. (Again I see a focus on watch time here) Love music. But why am I seeing this mix constantly? And if you develop a "radio" audience, why would they click on a game?

There's always something to find. We shouldn't be afraid to: - Default homepage/app login experience with reco's - Recommend other streams on streamer's live channels - Reco. popular VODs or shorts to discover new people

But why limited to mobile, and where will it even show up? Twitch seems more focused on engagement and monetization of current viewers, than circulating viewers. In my experience, that's the magic. People return to places like YouTube/TikTok -- b/c of all the recommendations.

But there was one... "...new discovery feature on mobile that will allow viewers to seamlessly scroll through a feed of recommended channels and clips with ease. It’s perfect for viewers who are looking to discover new streamers when they have only a few minutes to spare."

Twitch has announced part of its 2023 upgrade vision. Good to see new features/monetization? Yea. But none of it matters much unless you can get DISCOVERED. I will continue to stress: discovery needs to be the biggest focus. There is not nearly enough talk of that, VODs/shorts.

(And, by the way, if Microsoft was going to “take 343 off Halo single-player” wouldn’t they have been more likely to lay off even more staff and replace them with a new team? Was a flimsy rumor. It’s the entire point of 343’s existence to keep iterating and get it right.)

A reminder why multiple sources in verifiable positions close to, or at companies, is important. As are accurate headlines. 343 had to endure layoffs, and now spend the weekend squashing rumors it’s been taken off Halo.
