Boris Johnson begins 'year of climate action'. Progressive climate policy is possible under a conservative/populist government. Pressure on the Australian federal government on climate will come from Downing Street, in the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow.

The PM is worried about being "bullied" by Australian voters. A large majority of voters are in favour of policy to reduce emissions. An influential part of the resources industry is against, and wins the day. Something wrong with the political system as it operates, perhaps?

ACT’s Renewables contracts act as a hedge against price rises. The higher the wholesale price, the cheaper energy will be in ACT. Was a pleasure to sign these contracts for 100% Renewables!!
