It's hard to imagine now, but Nintendo of America was basically a tiny startup at the time. Almost no press covered the NES launch.

I was able to snag one of these shirts from a guy who worked as press at this event about a year ago...despite what the article said there was in fact at least some press coverage! So now there are 2 confirmed! Would love a pin though!
