This is nowhere near perfect but I like the de-dithering you can get with a couple Photoshop filters, especially on a game like this. I find the sharpness loss acceptable here.pic.twitter.com/CT12Guv5JD

This is why, if I'm emulating older consoles, I use CRT shaders these days. It's not a perfect representation, but at 4k it gets close enough to see the original vision.

There's some AMAZINGLY efficient CRT emulation for 4K monitors, that's the point where the LCD sub-pixel stuff actually mixes well with CRT emulation as well.
