Jim did nothing to even show he cared or to try to prevent shootings. He brought down his whole site just because he couldn't empathize with people who disagreed with him for 5 seconds. He brought down his whole site because he doesn't care that /pol/ loves domestic terrorists.
It's not. You can however dissuade the shooters from using 8chan, and dissuade users from inciting further violence.
