@FozzTexx C64s could be hopped up to 450 baud. -
@loremipsum00 C64 User Port serial can do 1200. It can be driven at 9600 but requires hardware flow control and throughput is about 4800. -
@FozzTexx The 450 hack was to soup up the C64's add-on modem, but that was soft RS-232. The CIA chips had faster ports. -
@FozzTexx Nobody used more than a fraction of the capability that the C64's CIA chips had in hardware.
