I mean, the rest of the world doesn't factory farm the way America does? Not saying there aren't abuses elsewhere, but don't conflate the American default for a global one. But either way, I fail to see how ending a species isn't itself animal cruelty.

The treatment of Aboriginal Australians is historically terrible; I'm not remotely opposed to repatriation of lands there. I just think there's a huge gulf of potential options/outcomes in between "change nothing" and "make cows endangered or extinct".
