Which, on its own, is fine - babyness is a stage to be dealt with! My objection comes when parents resent this loss as the kid gets older.

Some of mine was ageism and I worked on it, but most was the patriarchy--that folks coded as mothers must keel over about babies

Totally with you. I love my kids, but I *like* them progressively more each year, each month, that they grow.
