@RDarwen Because, a) we need them for actual gender neutral persons; and b) because it would be SO HELPFUL when writing stories.

@fozmeadows Apparently 'they' has a long gender neutral history--amended by the Victorians who thought everything was gendered. -
@fozmeadows You can therefore (and I do) use 'they' correctly to mean singular person of any gender or none. - Show replies
