Women obviously shouldn't be expected to wear heels if they don't want to, but this idea that wearing heels is inherently bad and forced on women to make them less mobile or something intentionally ignores the varied reasons why women choose to wear heels.

I mean, yes, but regularly wearing high heels does permanently shorten your Achilles’ tendon, which makes it difficult - even painful - to wear flats or go barefoot, and drastically decreases your ankle flexibility. Which is why I loathe kids & teens being “trained” to wear heels

For that reason, if women are professionally required or socially pressured/expected to wear heels? It doesn’t matter what the ultimate bullshit reason is, it *will* have a physical effect.
