This is not a premise I thought I'd go for, bc as much as I love soft power narratives, a lot of the family dynamics hinge on women covertly (and not so covertly) battling each other for their husband and MIL's favor in the household. AND YET:

If you are liking this sort of representation, may I also suggest the Story of Ming Lan? It has a very similar focus but done much more thoroughly/historically accurately (imagine the Bennett household . . . with concubines!) 73 eps is an investment, but it's BBC level quality

It was such an amazing glimpse of the household politics with the elder women, the wives, and the concubines. I love that Xu Ling Yi and Shi Yi slowly fall in love after the arranged marriage. It's a slow go for them both to open up to each other after they were forced to marry.
