Does anyone have a quick guide to the rules covering how romanised Korean words/names are pronounced? I’ve tried to look one up and found help for the vowels but not the consonants, and while I’m not averse to learning Hangul for fun, I’m trying to parse written English forms.

I don't have a link to a guide, but if you run some words by me, I can try to help.

It’s less specific words and more consonant patterns, like jj, kk, hw.

"Hw" is pronounced just how it's spelled. "Jj" is a more emphatic version of "j." Here's an example of the word "jja jang myeon," where you can hear the difference between the two.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so_guUCIXdQ …
