afaik there are multiple systems, and the problem is that linguists don’t even know how to describe korean consonants sometimes

Revised Romanization seems most common, as it mostly reflects Hangul values, and usually doesn't create confusion, but it's really writer's preference. This, combined with the fact Korean consonants can change drastically depending on environment, means you can never be sure.
