I don't know for sure. I know NVCI certification (The kind security guards must have) is a literal weekend, but I suspect cops get a bit more, though likely mostly the physical moves part. It's underplayed compared to shooting, and undermined by Killology.

And I suspect that last is the harder part. You can do all the seminars you want on "Here's how you approach someone to defuse a situation." and all the extra ones for mental disability/trauma responses, but if the chief philosophy is killology? None of it will stick.
