Listen: my dad was born in 1932 and HE STILL PULLED HIS WEIGHT AROUND THE HOUSE! He cooked regularly! He did grocery shopping! He looked after me and made the bed and did the washing up! It is actually possible for straight men not to be lazy assholes by default! DEMAND MORE.

Husband and I have housework jobs that we tend to do more than the other (I cook, do the others washing, clean the kitchen, he hoovers, irons, gardens) but that's because we're better at it or don't mind it as much rather than just assuming it's someone's "job".

I can't fathom of the idea that if I just stopped doing it one day that he wouldn't do the stuff that needed doing pretty much straight away. It's such a bizarre way to be.
