Been...doesn’t have a long e sound in any American accent I know of, though? It’s almost always pronounced “bin” here (forgive the lack of diacriticals). It’s irregular.

(Agreed on the rest of the issues, it’s a horrible test or worksheet or whatever, and terrible modeling of both language and proofreading for the kids. And the parents. Sorry you’re having to deal with that because it truly is bullshit.

It depends where the person who wrote it lives. They should’ve picked a word that doesn’t change geographically. Where I live been sounds almost exactly like bin. There’s a little bit of an eh sound to it but definitely not a long e sound.
