And yet, at the same time, the women are the most vital axes around which all the most central stories turn. You cannot have Uther without Igrain; you cannot have Arthur and Lancelot without Morgana and Guinevere; you cannot have Merlin without Nimue.

With all do respect - he wrote the story for Wonder Woman And Lois Lane in both films was headstrong and on her own mission of heroism. She exposed the truth about Lex which would ultimately lead to his imprisonment.

One of the first scenes of Batman v Superman is Lois Lane, a frequent "damsel in distress", explaining to a terrorist she's interviewing that she's "not a 'lady', she's a 'journalist'". And in both MOS and BVS she's far more capable than almost every non-superpowered character.pic.twitter.com/HosgUhDTrA

Clark's mother inspired him to be a hero, by helping him with his abilities when he was in grade school. Lois Lane is as much a protagonist in Snyder's Superman films as Clark, saved him as many times as he saved her & is his beacon of hope. So no. They're not props.
