the fact that I'm currently in charge of teaching my child maths because of a pandemic is ironic to a degree I wouldn't previously have thought possible

in all the scenarios I was ever given by teachers as to why I needed to know maths, "because one day there'll be a global pandemic and your 7yo will need parental instruction" somehow never came up. those short-sighted FOOLS

I’d be setting mine down in front of videos for that. I can’t do that kind of math in my head. I have dyscalculia. I’d have to have pencil and paper to figure that out.
