virtual school starts again tomorrow and we have an email from the teacher saying she expects her 7yo students to be as "accountable" about their work right now as they would be in class and I want to SCREAM INTO THE FUCKING VOID BECAUSE 7YOS ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANYTHING

My about-to-be kindergartener's remote teacher told the parents that we'll need to be actively participating in the kids' lessons the whole time. And I get that the kids are 5, we'll need to be in the room, we'll need to help with the computers, etc. But actively participating in

the lessons? I've got a one and a half year old. One of the other moms had a baby with her in the orientation meeting (which was in-person and mandatory). Another parent said she has a first and third grader also doing remote learning. This is new for all of us, but shouldn't
